POWER GENERATION CONTROL DEVICE, AND POWER GENERATION CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a power conversion amount by suppressing dam discharge (water incapable of being converted to power) caused by insufficient adjustment.

SOLUTION: A power generation control device 110: calculates first time at which an increased amount of water starts to flow into a dam 120 when it is determined that a water amount flowing into the dam 120 is to increase; calculates an adjustment water amount which is a water amount to be subtracted from a current water amount of the dam 120 to make a water level of the dam 120 shift from a current water level of the dam 120 to a predetermined target water level, on the basis of the calculated first time and information on the dam 120; calculates an adjustment amount of water intake which is an amount of water intake of a water-wheel generator 131 required for the water-wheel generator 131 to generate power corresponding to the adjustment water amount in addition to its current power generation amount until the first time elapses from the current time, on the basis of the calculated adjustment water amount and information on the water-wheel generator 131; and outputs information on the calculated adjustment amount of water intake.
