<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated secondary battery of such a structure as a battery element having planar positive electrode and negative electrode laminated while being separated by a separator is covered with a laminate sheath material and sealed, in which no problem occurs in the connection even when the secondary batteries are connected in series while being superimposed as a battery pack. <P>SOLUTION: A battery element formed by laminating a positive electrode and a negative electrode with a separator interposed therebetween and having a substantially rectangular planar shape is enclosed in a laminate material, and then a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab are led out from two opposing sides thus producing a laminated secondary battery.
