<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assay for diagnosis or prognosis prediction that uses a biological marker of a disease state or disease susceptibility. <P>SOLUTION: A method comprises: a step (a) of preparing two or more different diluted solutions of a test sample and carrying out the following steps (i) and (ii) in respect of each test sample diluted solution, (i) contacting the test sample diluted solution with a plurality of different amounts of an antigen specific for an antibody, and (ii) detecting the amount of specific binding between the antibody and the antigen for each amount of antigen used in the step (i); a step (b) of plotting or calculating an individual curve of the amount of specific binding versus the amount of antigen for each test sample diluted solution used in the step (a); and a step (c) of determining the presence of a disease state or disease susceptibility in respect of each test sample diluted solution on the basis of the amount of specific binding between the antibody and the antigen and the amount of the test antigen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
