<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, with high shape accuracy, a beam member being a strength member which simplifies a separate component mounting process while improving the degree of freedom of design, and can further reducing weight and cost. <P>SOLUTION: This beam member includes: a slit part 16 defined at the axial center part of a circular beam body 10 formed by rolling a flat plate-like member, by separating a first end 12 and a second end 14 facing each other in the circumferential direction of the beam body from each other in the circumferential direction of the beam body; a first welding part 18a and a second welding part 18b for welding, to each other, parts at which the respective end surfaces e, e of the first end and the second end abut on each other to interpose the slit part in the axial direction of the beam body; and a bracket member 50 being a strength member welded to the outer surface of the beam body by straddling the first end and the second end to cover the slit part between the first welding part and the second welding part in the axial direction of the beam body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
