<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for designing a knit, which can easily add widening knitting to prevent the collapse of a design having the widening knitting added. <P>SOLUTION: A method for designing a knit includes: setting a designation area 2 of garter knitting in a stitch image 1 at a constant knitting width such as the 10th stitch from the end in Fig. (a); setting a start position 4f and sliding the designation area 2 in a course direction to transform the area 2 into a target area 2a having a simple shape in Fib. (b); and, based on the difference between a length 1c along an outer edge 1a and a length 1d in a wale direction of the designation area 2, in a target area 2b having widening knitting 5 added so as to reduce the distortion generated by the difference, developing a pattern 4 from the start position 4f in Fig. (c). The target area 2b in which the pattern 4 is developed is returned so as to be connected with the base area 3, allowing a design of the pattern 4 such as a garter pattern to be prevented from collapsing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
