PURPOSE: A set up method of an opening and closing device on an existing mattress is provided to easily form an open and closing hole by easily attaching zipper to a mattress. CONSTITUTION: A set up method of an opening and closing device on an existing mattress comprises the following steps: forming a resin layer by coating the rear side of fabric with thermoplastic resin in predetermined thickness; cooling the resin layer at a room temperature; welding the zipper on the side of the mattress by heat pressuring the front side of the fabric after perpendicularly settling the zipper on the side of the mattress; forming a cut part along the zipper installation direction; and welding the zipper on the side paper by compressing the front side of the fabric for 10-15 seconds by using heated iron after contacting the zipper on desired location of the side paper.
