REPAIR METHOD OF EMBEDDED OPTICAL FIBER OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL STRUCTURE, REPAIR STRUCTURE, AND CONNECTION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method of an embedded optical fiber of a composite material structure capable of repairing the entire originally embedded optical fiber, when the optical fiber embedded in the composite material is damaged, by replacing the damaged embedded optical fiber with an alternate optical fiber.

SOLUTION: In a repair method of an embedded optical fiber of a composite material structure 1 having an embedded optical fiber 10 embedded inside a composite material, a part of the composite material including a damaged part of the embedded optical fiber 10 is integrally removed to form an opening 3, an end face of the embedded optical fiber 10 exposed to the opening 3 is integrally polished with a composite material end face, the both end faces are matched with each other so that a core of the polished embedded optical fiber and a core of an alternate optical fiber are position-adjusted to be continuous, and the end face of the embedded optical fiber and the end face of the alternate optical fiber are connected to each other.
