<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine that includes a compression ratio variable mechanism, sufficiently feeds lubricant oil to a supporting part for supporting a crankshaft, and can stabilize the operation of the compression ratio variable mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The compression ratio variable mechanism includes: a rotary shaft 90 connected to a motor 89; worms 91, 92; worm wheels 93, 94; and camshafts 84, 85 connected to the worm wheels 93, 94 and moving a cylinder block 2 relatively to a crankcase 79. A clearance 70 is formed inside an insertion hole 63 of the crankcase 79. An oil path 72 formed inside the crankcase 79 is configured to feed the lubricant oil to the supporting part 60 of the crankshaft 61 through the clearance 70. A sealing member 64 is disposed at an end surface of the insertion hole 63, and a coil spring is also disposed to urge the sealing member 64 and the worm 91 in a direction of separating the sealing member and the worm from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
