The stenter apparatus comprises a retaining device and a clamping device (2). The retaining force (R) in the fiber direction of the fibers of the fiber assembly (10) is provided by retaining device. The clamping device is located to receive the fiber assembly and to provide clamping force normal to the fiber direction. The retaining device is connected with clamping device through traction cable (4). One end of traction cable is connected with clamping device while other end is connected with weight unit (5). The cable is passed over the deflection roller (3).
