<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite composition of inorganic oxide particles and silicon resin and a transparent composite body exhibiting high dispersibility, capable of preventing phase separation and whitening in curing and capable of securing transparency when inorganic oxide particles capable of improving a refractive index, mechanical properties and gas-barrier properties are dispersed into silicon resin. <P>SOLUTION: This composite composition of inorganic oxide particles and silicone resin is the composite composition containing inorganic oxide particles, which are surface modified by bonding a polydimethylsiloxane backbone polymer having one functional group at one terminal and which have an average dispersed particle diameter of not lower than 1 nm and not higher than 20 nm, silicone resin, and a reaction catalyst.
