<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast and communication cooperation system which is ready for a heavy load to a server applied due to a large amount of access relating to an application. <P>SOLUTION: The broadcast and communication cooperation system is provided with: a broadcast transmitter for distributing an image and audio content and control information of an application interlocked with the image and audio content, in digital broadcasting; a receiver which receives the image and audio content and the control information, reproduces the image and audio content, and executes the application based on the control information; and a server for executing processing according to a request relating to the application, the request being made via a communication network from the receiver.
