<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the popularity of sightseeing places in real time and display sightseeing information including the popularity on a display terminal accessible to public. <P>SOLUTION: A system for providing sightseeing information including popularity, having a display terminal for displaying a peripheral map and a sightseeing information server, in which the sightseeing information server provides the sightseeing information including the popularity to the display terminal, comprises: a database in which map information indicating locations of respective sightseeing places, registration information including the registered numbers for the respective sightseeing places and setting information in which popularity ranks for the respective sightseeing places for each time frame are set in advance are stored in association with each other; means for determining the respective popularity of all the sightseeing places, by referring to the map information in the database to extract target sightseeing places on the basis of terminal position information of the display terminal in response to a request from the display terminal, and ranking all the extracted sightseeing places by using the registered numbers and the popularity ranks for each time frame as a comparison element; and means for transmitting the sightseeing information including the popularity to the display terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
