<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and slender type speaker that enhances input resistance and has excellent workability. <P>SOLUTION: A joint member 13 of a speaker has a front stage portion 13a joined to a diaphragm 2 and a rear stage portion 13b joined to a voice coil bobbin 4. The front stage portion 13a has a slender shape, the length at the short-diameter side of the front stage portion 13a is equal to or smaller than the length at the short-diameter side of the diaphragm 2, and the inner diameter of the rear stage portion 13b has a shape longer than the length at the short-diameter side of the diaphragm 3. A movable portion is joined to the rear stage portion 13b through a linear portion 22b to form a curved surface portion 22c at a joint place between the linear portion 22b and the rear stage portion 22c. Accordingly, the voice coil bobbin 4 is joined to the diaphragm 2 through the joint member 13, so that the voice coil diameter can be increased and the joint strength can be enhanced by the formation of the curved surface portion 22c.
