The invention relates to a method for communicating data in a vehicle (1) between a vehicle-mounted data communication device (2) and a mobile device (8). In said method, the mobile device (8) is coupled to the vehicle (1) in a locked state, the vehicle-mounted data communication device (2) transmits a vehicle identification code stored in a non-modifiable manner in a memory (20) of the vehicle (1) to the mobile device (8) where the transmitted vehicle identification code is compared with an unlocking code securely stored in the mobile device (8), and if the compared codes match, the mobile device (8) is unlocked. The invention further relates to a system for operating a mobile device (8) in a vehicle (1), said vehicle (1) comprising a vehicle-mounted data communication device (2) for communicating data with the mobile device (8) as well as a memory (20) in which a vehicle identification code is stored in a non-modifiable manner, and the mobile device (8) comprising a locking device (21) in which an unlocking code is securely stored. The system is characterized in that vehicle-mounted data communication device (2) can transmit the vehicle identification code stored in the memory (20) of the vehicle (1) to the mobile device (8), and the transmitted vehicle identification code can be compared, in the locking device (21) of the mobile device (8), with the unlocking code stored in the unlocking device, and if the compared codes match, the mobile device can be unlocked. |
