<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medication dispenser which minimizes a necessary number of processes of device movement and can expose a mouthpiece for cleaning. <P>SOLUTION: A medication dispenser which is used with at least one medication carrier which holds two or more individual medication divisions has distributive mechanism 340 which can operate for dispensing the individual medication divisions that at least one medication carrier holds, a mouthpiece, and a cover 330. The cover moves from a first position where the mouthpiece is covered to a second position where it is at least partially exposed or to a third position where it is exposed. By movements of the cover to the third position, the distributive mechanism operates. The connection of the cover with the distributive mechanism is formed through a ratchet 346 which makes up a ratchet device that includes a first and a second ratchet mechanism.
