SILOXANE REMOVAL METHOD AND METHANE RECOVERY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siloxane removal method capable of easily removing siloxane while reducing a device scale and a methane recovery method for recovering methane from biogas.

SOLUTION: Siloxane in material gas is brought into contact with activated alumina in the presence of moisture and decomposed into silicon oxide and methane, so as to remove the siloxane. Since siloxane can be decomposed only by coming into contact with activated alumina in the presence of moisture, the siloxane can be easily removed from the material gas while reducing the device scale.
