An airbag device is configured in such a manner that an action by which the airbag is once strongly pressed against a pillar trim at the initial stage of expansion is eliminated to allow the airbag to be quickly inflated and expanded without a reduction in the speed of the expansion. An airbag device is provided with: an airbag (10) in a folded state, mounted to the upper part of an inner wall of a vehicle interior along the front-rear direction of the vehicle; and an inflator for inflating and expanding the airbag downward relative to the vehicle. The airbag (10) has: a roll-folded section (10R) roll-folded from the one end of the airbag (10) which is located on the side opposite the mounting side; and a bellows-folded section (10J) continuing to the roll-folded section (10R). The bellows-folded section (10J) is formed by folding the roll-folded section (10R) into two and then bellows-folding the roll-folded section (10R) at the portion at which the roll-folded section (10R) is folded into two, and the bellows-folding of the roll-folded section (10J) is performed so that the width of the bellows-folded section (10J) corresponds to the width (L2) to which the roll-folded section (10R) is folded into two. The airbag (10) is folded in such a manner that the bellows-folded section (10J) is located at a side of the roll-folded section (10R).
