<p>An objective of the present invention is to improve reliability in power source control of a server group, and to minimize power consumption of the server group. A server comprises: a power source interrupt control unit which, upon receipt of a power source interrupt instruction signal which instructs that a power source be interrupted, interrupts a predetermined processing unit power source; a power source activation control unit which, when the power source interrupt control unit has interrupted the predetermined processing unit power source, intermittently activates the predetermined processing unit power source; a power source activation assessment unit which, when the power source activation control unit has activated the predetermined processing unit power source, assesses whether the processing load of other servers which are executing a process, of a plurality of other servers, is greater than an upper bound load which is predetermined as a load which is necessary for processing with a number of servers which is greater than or equal to the number of other servers which are executing the process; and a processing control unit which, when it is determined that the processing load of the other servers which are executing the process is greater than the upper bound value, controls the process execution with respect to the predetermined processing unit.</p> |
