PURPOSE: A filtering apparatus for monitoring an optical subscriber network is provided to effectively detect monitoring light by reflecting the monitoring light. CONSTITUTION: A reflection layer(15) is connected to an optical fiber which forms an optical line. The reflection layer is formed on one side or both sides of a ferrule which is close to a core of the optical fiber. The reflection layer reflects monitoring light. The reflection layer comprises a plurality of layers and a tantalum film. The plurality of the layers is formed by laminating silica layers according to an electro-deposition mode.
