<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear part structure of an automobile allowing efficient improvement of vehicle body rigidity against input load from a suspension while suppressing an increase in vehicle body weight. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle body rear part structure includes: a side reinforce 7 fixed to a top part (a shock absorber mounting bracket 2) of a wheel house inner 1; a side gasket 12 connected to the side reinforce 7; and a rear pillar reinforce 11 connected to vehicle width direction ends of the side reinforce 7 and the side gasket 12 via a rear pillar inner 3. The top part of the wheel house inner 1 supports an upper end of the shock absorber of the suspension.
