<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programmable logic device which can hold configuration data even when supply of power supply potential is cut off, has a short start-up time of a programmable switch after power supply activation and can achieve low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: By using a material capable of sufficiently reducing an OFF-state current of a transistor such as an oxide semiconductor material that is a wide bandgap semiconductor for a transistor of a memory part of a programmable switch, the transistor is configured.
