<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool with a communication terminal connected to a personal computer or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The power tool 1 includes a motor 3, a control device (mounted on a control circuit board 9) for controlling the rotation of the motor 3, and a storage means for storing a method for the control device to drive the motor, and the communication terminal 47 is provided to which a communication line 530 is connected for enabling information to be read out of or written into the storage means. The communication terminal 47 is provided at a battery holding part 6c which is exposed during removing a battery pack. The control device includes a microprocessor. The method to drive the motor 3 is determined by a computer program and/or a control parameter stored in the storage means. Contents of the storage means can be read out of or written into an external device via the communication terminal 47, and by this, an operation mode can be changed and adjusted after the delivery from a factory.
