<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake for adjusting a clearance between a disk and a piston to be constant. <P>SOLUTION: The electric brake includes: a rotary disk 6 rotating together with wheels, a non-rotary disk 4 supported on a machine body so as not to rotate and displaced toward the rotary disk 6; a piston 28 moving forward and backward toward the non-rotary disk 4, an electric motor 21 for linearly moving the piston 28; and a controller 30 for controlling the electric motor 21. The electric motor 21 presses the non-rotary disk 4 against the rotary disk 6 via the piston 28. The electric brake include: a means for stopping the piston 28 after driven until pressing the non-rotary disk 4, a means for waiting for a predetermined time in which the piston 28 is pushed back by reaction when the operation of the electric motor 21 stops and naturally stops, and for detecting the position where the piston 28 stops, and a means for adjusting the initial position of the piston 28 based on the stop position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
