[Problem] To achieve an imaging lens that is small and inexpensive, which has a wide angled and high optical performance. [Solution] An imaging lens substantially comprising five lenses, including: a first lens (L1) that has negative power and a meniscus shape with a convex surface facing the object side; a second lens (L2) that has negative power and a convex surface on the image side in the vicinity of the optical axis; a third lens (L3) that has positive power; an aperture; a fourth lens that has positive power (L4); and a fifth lens (L5) that has negative power. The first to fifth (L1-L5) have at least one aspherical surface. Therein, a prescribed conditional expression involving the distance along the optical axis from the object-side surface of the first lens (L1) to the image plane and the distance along the optical axis from the object-side surface of the first lens (L1) to the image-side surface of the second lens is satisfied.
