The method involves providing a component by using a construction element (100), where the construction element comprises a sound absorbing element (104) as a soundproof bridge with a covering, and the sound absorbing element is made of elastomer material e.g. rubber or plastic foam. A flame retarding supporting element i.e. sleeve (110), is attached with the sound absorbing element, where thickness of the supporting element is smaller than thickness of the absorbing element. The sleeve is integrated into the absorbing element, and a fastening unit e.g. screw, is guided through the sleeve. An independent claim is also included for a construction element for fastening a covering at a component.
