PURPOSE: A failure recognition apparatus and a diagnosis method thereof are provided to maximize the generating efficiency of a photovoltaic system. CONSTITUTION: Photovoltaic inverters(20) invert the electric power obtained from photovoltaic modules, and transmit power generation data including MPOP(Maximum Power Operating Point) data to an embedded communication board(40) through communication ports. The embedded communication board compares the MPOP data obtained from photovoltaic inverters with internally stored MPOP mapping data. The embedded communication board transmits the processed result to remote sites through communication ports.
