PURPOSE: A duplexing system for a combination between communication and broadcasting and method thereof are provided to automatically converting broadcasting signals according to an activation path of an optical line terminating apparatus by constructing a duplexing line between the optical line terminating apparatus and a broadcasting transmission apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An activation determination unit(240) outputs a switching control signal. An optical switch unit(250) receives an optical signal outputted from a broadcasting transmission apparatus. The optical switch unit converts the inputted optical signal into an activation path according to the switch control signal outputted from the activation determination unit. A combination unit(260) receives the optical signal outputted from the optical switch unit. The combination unit receives an internet data signal from an optical line terminating apparatus. The combination unit combines the inputted signals.
