<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-insulating firebrick that is formed by molding and drying a bubble-containing slurry obtained by foaming a slurry including a refractory powder and water, and that has higher heat-insulating properties despite having the same composition and porosity. <P>SOLUTION: A porous heat-insulating firebrick is formed by molding and drying a bubble-containing slurry obtained by foaming a slurry that includes a refractory powder, which has a heatproof temperature of ≥1,000°C, and water. The porous heat-insulating firebrick has ≥60% porosity, and ≥80% of the total pore volume in the porous heat-insulating firebrick comprises pores with ≤200 μm pore diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
