<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of preventing such a situation as not to be able to turn on tracking control in starting when an optical disk having three or more recording layers on one surface is inserted into the device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device is configured that, when an optical disk having three or more recording layers on one surface is inserted into the optical disk device, movable lens position adjusting means makes an adjustment, when starting the optical disk device, using a tracking error signal that limits a moving distance of a movable lens for correcting spherical aberration, as an index, and sets an upper limit number of retrying the adjustment on a recording layer which is farthest from a side where laser light enters, one or more (refer to a step S51 and a step S52). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
