<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an automobile floor carpet allowing easy and inexpensive manufacture of the automobile floor carpet that has an outward convex curved section. <P>SOLUTION: The automobile floor carpet having an outward convex curved section 11A is manufactured by a step of forming an interim molding and a step of angle correcting thereafter. In the step for forming the interim molding, the interim molding 10A is formed by putting binder-applied chips 48 on a cavity surface 35 of a lower mold and curing the binder, wherein the interim molding has an outward convex curved section 11A formed of a central part 13A and side parts 15A, 15A and is shaped so that the angle (a') between the central part 13A and the side parts 15A, 15A is larger than the angle (a), i.e. that of in a finished article. In the step for correcting the angle, the angle (a') between the central part 13A and the side parts 15A, 15A in the outward convex curved section 11A of the interim molding is narrowed to the angle (a) in the finished article, and heated, to correct the angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
