<p>A method for sending and updating public warning system (PWS) key update information and a corresponding device. A network side network element triggers a PWS key update instruction procedure, and notifies an access network to broadcast PWS key update instruction information to a terminal; upon receiving a message used for a PWS key update request and sent by the terminal, the network side network element sends to the terminal a message, carrying PWS key update information and used for a PWS key update response. Upon receiving the broadcasted PWS key update instruction information, and determining to perform PWS key update, the terminal triggers a PWS key update procedure, and sends to the network side network element the message, carrying PWS key update request information and used for the PWS key update request; the terminal receives the message used for the PWS key update response and sent by the network side network element, and stores the PWS key update information thereof. The present invention may update PWS key information in a UE, and improve the security of a PWS service.</p> |
