<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pseudo contours generated while displaying in time-gradation system. <P>SOLUTION: When displaying a gradation in n bits (n: integer), each bit of the gradation represented by binary digits is divided into three bit group, and one frame is divided into two sub-frame groups. A sub-frames (a: an integer of 0<a<n), which is equivalent to the bits included in a first bit group, are divided into three or more and almost a half thereof is allotted to each sub-frame group; b sub-frames (b: an integer of 0<b<n), which is equivalent to the bits included in a second bit group, are divided into two, and one is allotted to each sub-frame group; and the bits included in a third bit group, equivalent to c sub-frames (c: an integer of 0≤c<n: a+b+c=n), are allotted to at least one sub-frame group.
