<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for merchandise trading and a method for improving the efficiency of merchandise trading by performing information processing based on the needs of a seller and a buyer. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving selling order information, pieces of purchase order information each of which has a purchase price not lower than the selling price are extracted and the pieces of purchase order information are rearranged in order of a higher price and an earlier purchase order time in the case that the purchase price is the same. It is determined whether one of the rearranged pieces of purchase order information and the received selling order information match filter information, and transaction conclusion processing is performed when matching the filter information. On the other hand, when receiving purchase order information, pieces of selling order information each of which has a selling price not higher than the purchase price are extracted and the pieces of selling order information are rearranged in order of a lower price and an earlier selling order time in the case that the selling price is the same.
