<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve print quality by reducing tension variation applied on a print target surface of a print medium. <P>SOLUTION: In a printer device P having tension bars 91, 121 extended orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a print medium M and movable in the vertical direction, tension applying means 90, 120 moving downward by own weight of the tension bars depending on the looseness of the print medium M, and making the tension bars to be held inside of a middle part of the print medium M and to be bent, and position detection means 94, 124 for detecting positions of the tension bars, a control method performs: a process in which a control unit 70 conveys the print medium M by a medium movement mechanism 30; a process for detecting positional change of the tension bars due to conveyance of the print medium M by the position detecting means; and a process for rotating a supply shaft 83 and a winding shaft 113 so as to return the tension bars whose positions have changed to a previously set prescribed positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
