The approach involves determining one or more applications for presentation at a device (301 ). The approach also involves determining that the device is in a locked state (303). The approach further involves processing and/or facilitating a processing of the one or more applications to cause, at least in part, presentation of the one or more applications in a user interface of the device associated with the locked state (317).
