Provided is a sensitizer for reversing or reducing radiotherapy resistance in cases of esophageal carcinoma, a screening method and uses thereof, said sensitizer being a gene expression inhibitor or silencing-agent of AKR1C3. By silencing the gene AKR1C3, the present invention is able effectively to achieve a sensitization effect for radiotherapy, thereby enabling individualized treatment to be better performed and a more effective therapeutic regime to be provided for the treatment of esophageal carcinoma.
