The method involves producing a thermoplastic plastic melt (4) by rotation of a plasticizing screw (3) in a screw cylinder (2). The thermoplastic plastic melt is displaced with a gas (6) by feeding the gas in the screw cylinder. The gas is mixed with the staggered thermoplastic melt by performing a rotational motion of the plasticizing screw. The mixture of thermoplastic plastic melt and gas is poured into a cavity (12) of an injection mold (11). The gas is introduced in the screw cylinder at an axial position (G) of screw threads (7) of the plasticizing screw.
