378,570. Secondary cells. VAN RADEN & CO., Ltd., 567, Foleshill Road, and STARLEY, J. P., 69, Earlsdon Street, both in Coventry. May 30, 1931, No. 15872. [Class 53.] Secondary cells arranged in a casing are separated from one another by a partition which extends above the cell terminals, and these latter, except for the " outside " terminals, are interconnected by a bridging member which passes over or through the partition, while the cell terminals and the bridging member are wholly or partly covered with insulating compound. In the form illustrated in the drawings, the cells are covered by loose lids 5, over which the insulating compound is poured. Flexible pads 14 straddle the bridging members and co-operate with pegs 15 on the inner side of the lid ; alternatively, the pegs carry rubber thimbles. In another form, the bridging members extend through holes in the partitions, and are entirely covered by the insulating compound. |
