PURPOSE: A display device and display method thereof are provided to set a control target of a remote control unit by using a setting code by displaying the setting code on a display device. CONSTITUTION: A connection unit(110) connects to an external device. A storage unit(140) stores a setting code matched with the external device. A signal reception unit(120) receives a user command from a remote control unit. A control unit(150) obtains a selection condition of a user for one of the external devices connected to a display device. The control unit controls a display unit to display an UI(user interface) including a setting code for setting a control target of the remote control unit according to a selected condition.
