Improvements in dental crowns and the like, and materials used in, and a process for, the manufacture thereof

An alloy for use in making dental crowns to be coated with a specified vitreous enamel of the same coefficient of thermal expansion as the alloy is prepared by melting together at a temperature of about 1500 DEG C., 100 parts gold, 15 parts silver, 10 parts copper, and 12,5 parts platinum. The alloy is very ductile and is rolled into thin sheets for use.
