Dye-sensitized solar cell and fabrication process thereof

A dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell comprising: a first substrate of polymeric material having a top surface; an anode, arranged on the first substrate; an active photovoltaic layer arranged on the anode, and comprising a nanostructure including an arrangement of titanium dioxide nanotubes, a photosensitive material in contact with the nanostructure and a redox electrolyte, and a cathode arranged on the active photovoltaic layer, wherein the redox electrolyte is placed between the anode and the cathode. A process of making a dye-sensitized photovoltaic cell is also described.
