PURPOSE: A spindle motor is provided to manufacture a base and a protrusion part by press processing and to save lead time of production. CONSTITUTION: A spindle motor includes a base(10). A fastening portion(11) and a protrusion portion(11a) are formed in the base. A sleeve(30) supports a rotary shaft. The rotary shaft and the sleeve are combined in a connecting portion. The protrusion portion is protruded along the outer circumference of the connecting portion to outside. The protrusion portion is manufactured by press processing on the base.
