The present invention seeks to provide an improved pacifier holder, to prevent the pacifier or dummy from being contaminated when ejected from the infantâ s mouth. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a pacifier holder 10 comprising a shaft 4; a cover 8 movably connected to the shaft; and a base attached to the bottom of the shaft; arranged so that the cover can slide downwards along the shaft under action of gravity to cover a pacifier 2 located on the base. The cover may be telescopic or a novelty item. In another embodiment the holder may be an elastic material. In another embodiment, the shaft may be an elastic member mounted inside the cover, which may be stretched to allow access to the pacifier and which then automatically retracts back into the cover on release (figure 9A, 9B). |
