A shower head 10G comprises a mixing chamber 24 having an inner air inlet 70 suitable for connection to a supply of pressurised air, a water inlet 68 surrounding the inner air inlet and suitable for connection to a supply of pressurised water, and an outer air inlet 18 surrounding the water inlet suitable for connection to a supply of pressurised air, the mixing chamber further having an outlet 32, the air breaks up the water into droplets in use and both leave the outlet to form a shower of droplets. The air inlets may be arranged to form a vortex in the mixing chamber. A rotatable control knob 78 may be provided to throttle the air flow within the inner inlet. The water inlet and the outer air inlet are ideally annular. The inner and outer air inlets and the water inlet are ideally arranged concentrically and coaxially. Individual water droplets may converge towards the mean trajectory (of droplets leaving) the outlet.
