<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding apparatus capable of simply treating weld slag generated during laser welding. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding apparatus 100 welds works 30 by irradiating the works with a laser beam passing through a transmission window 11. The laser welding apparatus is arranged between the transmission window and the works, and includes electrodes 12 extending approximately in the advancing direction of the laser beam and a voltage applying means 15 for applying a voltage to the electrodes. Thereby, the laser welding apparatus draws weld slag, such as metal chips, which is spattered from the works 30 during welding, to the electrodes 12, and adsorbs the weld slag on the electrodes. Therefore, by using this laser welding apparatus 100, adhesion of spattered weld slag to the transmission window is simply prevented without requiring a replacement work or a waste treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
