PURPOSE: A device for inserting an intervertebral implant into a body and system comprising an intervertebral implant and a device for inserting the same are provided to easily determine the final position of an implant. CONSTITUTION: An upper surface(2) is comprised in order to engage first vertebrae. A bottom surface(3) is comprised in order to engage second vertebrae. A sidewall(4) connects the upper surface to the bottom surface. A long opening(8) has a constant height. A soft end(21) has a smaller diameter compared to the length of the long opening.
