<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical sealing device for a filling and packaging machine including a plurality of vertical seal rolls independently set in its position change in a lateral direction, its temperature and pressurization control, respectively. <P>SOLUTION: The vertical sealing device 1 consists of a vertical seal roll 11 at the base end, a vertical seal roll 12 at an intermediate part and the vertical seal roll 13 at the front end, all of which are arranged in a lateral direction.
