METHOD FOR LEG ASSEMBLY OF JACK-UP RIG

PURPOSE: A method for assembling columns of a jack-up rig is provided to transport and install a jack-up rig on the sea in different regions regardless of the soil condition at the bottom of the sea. CONSTITUTION: A method for assembling columns of a jack-up rig comprises the steps of: keeping a vessel and a jack-up rig on standby on the sea(S1), submerging the vessel in the sea and moving the jack-up rig above the vessel(S2), regulating the jack-up rig to the right position above the vessel and floating the vessel on the sea(S3), attaching or detaching supporting members to the bottom of columns of the jack-up rig being placed on the top of the deck of the vessel(S4), submerging the vessel(S5), moving the jack-up rig to a predetermined installation position on the sea(S6), and floating the vessel on the sea(S7).
