PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can effectively use even an image with any defect without correction for removing the defect, and to provide an image processing program. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 1 detects an object included in an image on the basis of an image pattern in a picture signal, and it determines the photographing condition of the detected object based on the picture signal. When the photographing condition of the determined object is defective, an image item corresponding to the defect is pasted to the specified attachment area of the image.
