PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-restoring apparatus for producing a restored image with suppressed ringings and noises by restoring a real image, based on a known PSF and a sheet of a deteriorated image. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a base image production processing unit for producing a base image, by performing a base image producing process, based on the deteriorated image; a blurred image production processing unit for producing a blurred image by performing convolution integration of a produced base image from the base image production processing unit and the PSF; a deteriorated residual image production processing unit for producing a deteriorated residual image by calculating difference between the produced blurred image and the deteriorated image; an image restoration processing unit for producing a restored residual image, by performing an image restoring process so as to vary the strength of constraint based on the produced base image relating to the produced deteriorated residual image; and restored image production processing unit for producing the restored image by adding the produced base image to the produced restored residual image.
